Weekend Project Giveaway: DIY Kids Chalkboard Table

While it is always fun to find a diamond in the rough while shopping at Goodwill, I prefer to make diamonds out of the rough things I find! A couple months back, I found a set of end tables at the Goodwill on Clements Ferry. They were pretty scratched up, but still very sturdy and well made – and only $24.99 for the set! With the pay and take discount, I received 25% off and spent just over $9 each! What a bargain! And we love the table so much we want to share it with one of you (read to the bottom for details)!
What you need:
- An end table
- sand paper
- spray paint
- chalkboard paint
- paint markers (optional)
How to:
- Take off all hardware and sand down the wood for a smooth surface
- Spray paint your favorite color
- Mark out the chalk board and tape it well – I used seran wrap to protect the rest of the table
- Paint the chalk board portion of the table – I ended up painting 4 coats
- Decorate as you please! I used paint markers which required a couple coats, but were so easy to use!
