What to Wear to that Upcoming Wedding!

1. Check out the invite. Reading the invite is a duh. But if it doesn’t explicitly list the type of dress; black tie or white tie for example, look for subtle cues of formality. Check out the type Read the rest of this entry ?

Weekend DIY Project: Pray for No Rain

April 15, 2013

Since she decided to water my strawberries instead of giving me appropriate weather to decorate outside, my dresser reveal post will have to wait until next week. Which I guess is okay, because it gave me a chance to do a little more researching on DIY dressers and totally changed my idea. I am amazed at how creative some people are! Weekend DIY Project: Blessings in Disguise

February 18, 2013

floodSo, a couple of weeks ago, a pipe burst in our attic. Water gushed out for about 12 minutes until we were able to shut it off. The ceiling caved in over our girls room and thankfully, no one was hurt. But their room was significantly damaged, as well as some damage to the hallway. That night, we called a disaster team in, checked into a hotel room and have been dealing with the repairs ever since.

Unfortunately, this has left me with NO time to complete any of my weekend projects… Fortunately (there is always a silver lining!), we now have new carpet in all the bedrooms, and hardwood in the Read the rest of this entry ?

Easy Valentine’s Hair

February 6, 2013

Need a do  for Valentine’s Day? Love curls, but can only achieve the look with an expensive visit to the salon? I feel your pain, in fact- almost every time I attempt curls using curlers or a curling iron- they stay in for about 20 minutes-yes this is after I’ve sprayed it with tight hold hair-spray. Have an extra shirt lying around? ( or drop by Goodwill for a cheap one!)

I have a quick and easy DIY using an old shirt to create beautiful hair perfect for Valentine’s Day!
